The Romantic era of classical music has been my favorite all along. Among my favorites are Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Liszt, and Tchaikovsky. In 2019, I was given the opportunity to perform at SAP’s ‘Diverse Minds’ Charity Gala in London to highlight their ‘Autism at Work’ program. I have also performed at the Els Center of Excellence in Florida, and with the Piano Guys in my hometown.
I earned the Judge’s Distinction award at the American Protege International Concerto Competition in 2021; I performed at the winners recital in Carnegie Hall. I won the 2021 NMS Concerto Competition with Rhapsody in Blue by Gershwin. My radio debut on WFMT 98.7 consisted of a 40 minute recital featuring the works of Chopin, Bach, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Liszt, and Debussy (click to link and scroll down to the blue .
The COVID pandemic forced a fortuitous shift in my mind to composition. My 1st composition, Emotions on a COVID 19 Lockdown, is a 4 minute work for solo piano, Chicago’s Classical radio station, as part of a broadcast alongside some of the great American composers over the last 200 years.
As time went on, the piano alone became insufficient to express my big emotions. As a result, I turned to symphonic orchestral writing. I wanted to express my ideas about the entire universe through a single musical work
