Pianist. Composer. 10th Grader.

My story

—  As a child, music reached Sami on a deeply emotional level. Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (which he calls his superpower), Sami’s ability to hyperfocus translated to him creating classical children's pieces on piano. This rare gift led Sami’s parents to enroll him in New Music School, with its Founder, Francisco Ybarra as his teacher.

By age six, Sami was learning complex pieces. At age 10, he made his first public performance as a professional pianist. To date, he has performed globally, from London to Positano, New York City, Miami, and Chicago. In addition to participating in competitions, Sami is preparing his biggest milestones to date: performing with orchestra, composing his first pop anthem, and practicing for his 2020 Debut Recital.

Most importantly, Sami is still a typical, happy 10 year boy. Beyond the piano, you’ll find him bike riding, playing Fortnite, or simply spending time with his sister, Layla.
